Thomas,

I did my theory course through the City of London Polytechnic 15 years ago (I know that's a long time and a lot has changed since), and they were absolutely superb. Did it all as self study but with an instructor/advisor on the phone whenever I needed one.

Passed all the exams except Air Law 1 first time at Gatwick, saved me a fortune.

Maybe worth looking into ? Hope this helps anyway.

Cheers,

I was thoroughly impressed with Bristol GS recently... first time passes in all subjects which says more about them than me!

Bristol were ace, got all 13 first time round and 99% in Heli POF, Feb Mod one and May mod 2 feedback was excellent, I would go as far to say they were easy, if you put in the work!

Mike Burton did the Heli instruction, but I think he might have left, so check who they have there now, plus if you decide to use them visit the Heli Museum at Weston during the brush up, make a lot of the theory make much more sense, plus it's interesting.

If it is the IR you are looking to do then GTS at Bournemouth must be the place. They now specialise in the IR component plus the ATPL.

Class sizes range from 4 to 8 (so small and lots of indy attention from people with a life time of experience flying and also more experience of the exams than anybody else in the industry).

Like KMS, I do not work for GTS, just a humble student of theirs at the minute doing the ATPL(H) course with them.
