From the RTE website:
An American Airlines flight en route from Heathrow in London to JFK in New York, which had to divert to Shannon because of an electrical fault, has landed safely.
The exterior of the aircraft was given a check by airport ground technical staff, who deemed it safe to be taxied to a gate at the terminal building where the passengers will disembark.
The plane will be given a thorough technical examination to discover the source of electrical fault, before it will be able to resume its journey.
