Hi folks,

What kind of school allowance do you get from CX for the kids? Do they pay a part of the tuition fees, do they pay for everything, do you get some money every month.....?

Thanks

Hi

Attached extracted from the company internal website. No USA rates listed but current Canadian boarding school deal is CA$25,686 p.a. per child. Assistance for HK international type schools also available. If you're part of the interview process, just ask for full details, they'll be happy to let you know.

Children's Educational Allowances

This allowance is extended to eligible Hong Kong-based expatriate employees to assist with the cost of educating their children at a recognised (overseas) boarding school or fee-paying day school. The allowance includes the cost of basic tuition fees and boarding (for overseas boarding schools).

Eligibility

Children aged 3 and 4 attending a recognised pre-school in Hong Kong.

Children aged between 5 (or from the date the child enters primary school) and 18 or the date the child completes secondary school who attend a recognised fee-paying day school or (overseas) boarding school.

In addition, where there are other circumstances, such as a child's secondary education extending beyond the age of 18, requests for continuing assistance will be considered.

Exclusions

- Attendance at day schools, home playgroups and other non-educational establishements
- Universities and tertiary institutions
- Private tutoring
- Extra curricular activities or subjects outside regular school work such as music tuition, text books, uniforms, etc.
- All taxes of any nature, payable by the employee in reference to the allowance.
