Hey folks,

Does anyone know whereabouts you can buy those nifty leather jackets that I have seen the VB pilots wearing? I believe it is a replica of the old Air Force A-2 jackets? Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Alteon Brisbane - B737 endorsement circa $30k.

Internet - apply for pilot position with VB, prolly a 22c phone connection.

Get employed and you've got your jacket! ;)

The jackets are made in the USA by Perrone Aviation.

I got a 'plain' A2 off them last year. US$350. Great jacket, matching gloves etc.

However, if you want an exact 'airline pilot' A2, Perron won't sell one unless you can prove you work for an airline.

If you want the contact for the RAAF leather flying jacket, send me a PM. They're made in Australia. Not 100% sure of current prices. They were about $300 each in 1999- and that was for 30 of them!
