Anyone seen, heard of etc a 'counter' which will tell me how much I download/surf cumulatively as a guide to switching ISPs, possible to one which has a download limit.

In case others don't post more appropriate software links, try NetLimiter (http://www.netlimiter.com/) - You don't need to turn on any of the bandwidth limiting features, but it certainly records and stores data xfer amounts well. You can view by hour, day, week or month. Not sure how long their trial version lasts, but hope it helps you.

Netmeter (http://readerror.gmxhome.de/) works well for me. Gives daily, weekly, monthly and total download and upload statistics, and a realtime graph if required. Freeware.

Thanks peeps, they are probably all fine but I've downloaded netmeter for now. Just want to see how much I'm actually using as I am paying for unlimited and may well not need it - especially when there are faster, cheaper but limited services available. Thanks again.
