Hello all again

Anyone have any experience of converting the single, multi, and instrument FAA ratings to their respective JAA ratings. Is it possibe to do this and any ideas of the costs.

thanks in advance

Yes it is possible.
I have done it.
You need to do your written ATPL first and then I had to pass every check (I was in the old Belgiam system, before the JAA).
Now I think that you have to do some sim and your ME IFR will be enough.
I think like it is something like 15h sim and 20 to 25 hours in the multi.

Good luck.
It is completely different than in the US.
The written part is a lot more difficult.
Flying shouldn't a problem.
I came back with over 800h and passed every check easily.
The procedures were a little bit different.
