To all accomplished commercial aviators out there....
I have always wandered about the MTOM of commercial aircraft and how the weight of passengers affects this. It would seem you make accurate calculations according to the fuel, baggage and other variables on board. However, there is no evident measure of passengers. Do you take a national average and multiply by the number of PAX? Or are we passengers secretly weighed at some point before departure?!! How does it work?
