Bad news for the punters who bet on the B757 as a replacement for AaE's B727 fleet.

Hot off the press today, the B737-300F will replace the 727's over the next two years and the first two could be in MEL as early as November 2005.

The 757 will NEVER get off the blocks in Oz.

Are the 737-300 (F) being sourced coming from TNT? I have mail on TNA and TNB making their way to Australia later this year?

Quite a lot of goss on freighters for OZ. TNT are bring 146-200's TAr and TAQ to oz too around November.

Is NJS or AAe lifting their 146 fleet as well?

We seeing replacement of the AAe fleet making progress

23 Metros..,

I can guarantee you that no 737 from TNT Airways is going to Australia. And that includes TNA and TNB.

The 146-200 is another matter. The -200's are possibly, and I stress possibly, going to OZ. But as of this moment no decision has been taken yet.

You're correct Clarence O, the 737's are ex Jetconnect. Just had word from a mate in FNQ that the 757s may not be dead just yet.

Keep your tickets!

757F's will be coming to Aus sooner than you think, but not under the AAE Banner, try DHL :hmm:

The word is they are opening a Melbourne Base very soon.

I heard that rumour over here a while back. Goss is now, Heavylift have beaten DHL to the corner shop and are trying to get a 747F operation up, based in Melbourne.

Hey on the subject of AAE freighters, any idea whether they will be offering anymore cadetships in the distant future? I currently work @ NJS (no not as a 146 driver) and have my CPL, just wondering about the cadetship, I know theres a few guys at AAe that are relatives of NJS employees and snagged cadetships. Also, command/fo on the 727, I take it it is worth $$$ a hell of lost less than the 146? May I just have a quick rant also, if the 733 do come on board, it would have to be the most useful endorsement at NJS wouldn't you agree? Up there with the Dash8 anyway, ha L8r.
