NVFR recency requirements

NVFR recency ?

The CAO's specify the recent experience required to conduct NVFR as PIC in an aeroplane. This includes:
* 1 hour flight as PIC, ICUS or dual (within 1 year before proposed flight)
* 1 T/O and 1 landing PIC, ICUS or dual or
aeroplane flight review conducted part at night or
passed a flight test at night
(within last 6 months before proposed flight)

Disregarding the 3 T/O and land requirement for pax carrying, how does a pilot fly an aircraft under NVFR without pax when he/she has not conducted a NVFR flight within one year. Is a check flight with an instructor required, or do the above requirements (1 year and 6 months) only apply to pax carrying flights (PVT).

Taking into consideration that the NVFR is perpetual, in theory it can never expire ???

The information you need you've already posted.

As you said recent experience to fly PIC:
- 1 hr in the last year, and
- 1 takeoff and landing in last 6 months.

To carry pax also need:
- 3 takeoffs and landings in last 90 days at night.

The NVFR doens't expire in that you don't need to do renewals, however the recent experience requirements still have to be met.
Is a check flight with an instructor required, or do the above requirements (1 year and 6 months) only apply to pax carrying flights (PVT).
