Questions on the label on the neck of the bottle, answer on the back.

Questions became so well known that cryptic answers became the norm.

Your favourite?

Mine, asked to a suitably embarassed Gp Capt's spouse:

Where to women have the curliest hair?

Answer: .............

How about one on sport,

Who was the last English captain to play football in the 4th (before Premiership/Championship etc) division?

Tarnished, you have obviously too much time on your hands to start such a frivolous thread - start a real thread by giving us an update on the Texan wonder jet!

"Cyprus

I was worried for a minute there. I thought someone was going to start telling stories from a VERY recent stay in the APC Accom Block(s).

Things like:

Bandy Arrow watching his favourite film the "Grapes of Wrath".

Shrek missing out MILF and going straight to GILF.

3 Pilots and an ironing board.

The regular appearances of Hank from "Me, Myself and Irene"

etc etc

Correct!!

England cricket captain while playing football for Scunthorpe in the old Div 4 - always a good question when someone says 'dunno, ask me one on sport'

A genuine Carlsberg teaser -

Q. What's got 236 dimples?

(Correct answer - a golf ball)

Then you peel off the label, fake suprise and read out....

A. Your wife's arse!

Soiled Glove,

Would love to start such a thread old bean, however have plans to be in employment for just a few more years so wouldn't want to risk that just yet.

However, I can say that the first bits are coming together in the assembly area for A1 in line with the agreed schedule which gives a first flight end of Aug 06.

There is a lot of water to flow under a lot of bridges between now and then.

Suffice it to say that this is a huge multi-service, multi-role, multi-national project that will progress in a manner to be consistent with historical legacy programmes....

SG. Was actually asked the question in a quiz a few months ago.

(The question was actually 'Name the three England captains who have played football for Scunthorpe'. The rest of the team got the other two fairly quickly (I didn't have a clue and, before anyone asks, still don't) and went int 'was it him'; 'no it must have been wotsisname' mode with me sat there muttering 'Ian Botham'; 'Ian Botham';
'listen to me. Ian bloody Botham').
