Merrydown,

Yes, SFB is Sanford Airport in Florida.

The 747's presence was discussed in the Airlines, Airports and Routes message board under the 'New Routes for Newcastle' thread if you want to read more.

Partially correct. They were using Runway 07 which posed no problems at all, but they would be field length limited from 25, due to obstacle clearance requirements on the climb out I believe. 340 tons at take off if anyone really wants to know.

Flights are scheduled to be on 767-300ERs which I believe XLA have them configured for 328? seats

Maude Charlie should know a thing or two about it.... He was the dispatcher!!!

What was that about using domestic passenger weights?:D

Was impressive to watch her take off but it looks like NCL not geared up for such a large aircraft. By all accounts getting enough fuel was a struggle in itself.

Hey MG, if it goes tech again at least you'll be able to supply up to 4 APUs for it! ;) Wonder if you can get airborne in the same length of tarmac. :D

Think you will need to get some reclaimed land on the coast if 07 is in use!
