Any first-hand RECENT experience on bringing pets to HKG (cats / dogs)?

I'm after a specific "checklist" of factual government requirements, with a possible list of countries which may cause grief bringing four-legged family members from (and countries that are "easier" to import from) to HKG.

Cheers.

Don't have a checklist but form past experience, one week quarantine for pets imported from rabies free countries, was the procedure in my time in HKG. Quite a bit different if you want to export a pet from Hong Kong. Anyhow. just ask Cathay for guidance on this, you will be given all the neccessary steps required.

I think all the details and application form are on the AFCD web site. Cost about HK$500 for a permit. Made all the arrangements at both ends myself and picked the cat up from the freight terminal directly. No quarantine from Oz. Very straight forward.
