I have a couple of Q's and have also posted the latest HJT log ..
1. I have over the last couple of days been trying to research various sites for info for an assignment due in a couple of weeks. I have started getting a lot of "you're not authorised to access/view this page" or similar. The sites are various gov.au type pages and other legal type sites. I have never had these messages before.
Is this because of my settings with ZoneAlarm? If it is, how the farken hell do I set ZA up?
If it isn't, could I have 'picked up' something? Scanning hasn't shown up anything obvious to me. Latest scan with AVG = zilch.

I had uninstalled Norton, but I think I may not have got it all as well ..
If there is anything in the above that I am missing, I would appreciate any assistance.
2. Anyone have any simple instructions in how to recover deleted files from another hard drive (not this one). The .doc files are a copy of an assignment I did last year. It has certain info in it (like about 4K words of the current assignment) that I would like to recover.
The files were copied on to cd-rw disc, which was accidently overwritten. The files were placed into the recycle bin and then emptied.
There hasn't been any new programmes downloaded on to that system, and a few other doc's have been added to the recycle bin and deleted as well (but I don't want them!)
Other than taking it to a store and getting them to do it, I was wondering if there was something I could do myself?
Is there anyway I can retrieve something overwritten on the CD?
thankyou in advance ..
