A Service of Thanksgiving for XV179 will be held in Salisbury Cathedral at 1200hrs on Friday 20 May 2005. The Service is for family, friends and colleagues of all on board, and for those involved in the repatriation ceremony and subsequent events around the country. It is not really intended for the general public. If any PPruners out there would like to attend please contact the PA to OC Admin Wing at RAF Lyneham on 01249 896203 or look her up on RAFMail and e-mail her so that she can get your name on the list, as there are only limited spaces available. If you have been in contact with 47Sqn already then please continue to make travel arrangements through them, otherwise you could end up having two spaces reserved for you but only using one of them. It will be possible to fly into Lyneham and use MT from here - providing you can use MT legitimately - so contact OC Admin's PA and let her know your plans.
Dress for the Service will be No 1s, no medals, no black armbands, and Officers and Warrant Officers are to carry brown gloves. No flowers or wreaths are to be brought to the Service.
