Hi,

Was wondering if any of my afrikaanse colleagues can recommend a really good lodge or safari tour (the tents-in-the-bush-and-campfire kinda thing) in SA near johannesburg?

thanks in advance!

Try Sabi-Sabi or Sabi Sands which both give significant CX discounts on a space available basis. 4 hours or so (dependant on the number of carjackers and police on the take) from JNB.

If you have no success with either, pick up a copy of "Getaway" magazine (available at many book sellers in Central) and take a look at the classifieds section.

FWIW, it's Afrikaans (With a capital "A" and no 'e")...and you do mean South Africans, right?

Try this. A tad expensive (I think CX gets discounts), but well worth the price.

Conservation Corporation (ccafrica) was probably our best vacation. We stayed in Bongoni and Makalali camps on the periphery of the Kruger National Park. From Jo'burg we flew into Hoodespruit and Neilspruit to get to the camps.

We now have some fabulous photos in our home taken on the trip.

Cheers.:ok:
