To my friends at Aeropelican; it is with much sadness that I hear of the closure of the Belmont operation and apologise that I cannot be with you. However I am with you in mind and heart.
I consider myself to have been very fortunate to have been part of an organisation that is such a significant part of the development of the regional airline industry.
But more importantly, I cherish the fact that I was priveledged enough to experince the comeraderie, mutual support and friendships that were such a unique art of working at the "Duck."
Undoubtabely, the time spent at Aeropelican were the best years of my time in aviation.
Ironical isn't it that on Friday I will be flying up and down New Zealand remembering what Air Newzealand did to us. but I will be thinking of you all and I will have a tear in my eye.
