Has anyone made a round the world flight overflying both poles and crossing the equator at diametrically opposite points?
I reckon the new generation of ultra long range a/c, e.g. 787, might be able do it with just the one stop.
Boeing quote a range of 9500 nauticals presumably with decent payload.
How much further could you get without the SLF? 10850 would be enough.
How about Seville - Aukland via 90south
Aukland - Seville via 90north.
