Well folks, report on CBC tonight that the RAF is out of Goose Bay. Everything being shipped off to the Cool Pool. All signs down and final party over with.

Hope they left you the Vulcan!
Many a happy time at Goose over the years - particularly before the FJ community arrived. Not that there was much wrong after they arrived - it was just different!
Before the fun detectors got rid of the OM barbecue facility, a night in the mess cooking your own steak from Herb's and quaffing a few Moleskins was always good!

Beags, they had the Base's PR wallah standing in front of the Vulcan, so its still there...for now, at least. Same goes for all the unit crests painted on the walls.
