Simuflight / Flight 2000 used to do them as a CBT course in Auckland but not sure of their status since takeover & relocation to Hamilton by McAlpine (CTC).

Tauranga Aero Club & Wellington Aero Clubs had Simuflight franchises but agian not sure about their status. You could search the net for www.simuflight.co.nz or something.

My suggestion is to call Eagle Air in Hamilton, NZ on 07-857-1000 to see if they'll let you attend a DG course they run quite often in Auckland. One is scheduled for mid April me thinks. It takes 4-5 hours with a 20 question quiz at the end. I know pilots from a GA company have attended Eagle DG courses in the past. No idea if it will cost you and how much if it does.

cheers for the replies dudes. Is it worth getting it done now and showing my initiative to help my chances of getting my first flying job? or should i just find a job first and let the operator pay for it as part of line training? this seems to be what most people do, and most operators seem to make you sit a DG course when they take you on board, regardless of whether or not you have done it before...
