I have done a search for this without much success...
Does anyone know if there are any definitive figures relating to the UK pilot community that might include the following?
- The number of predicted CPT positions in the UK for 2005/6/7
- The number of predicted FO positions in the UK for 2005/6/7
- The number of existing fATPL holders who might apply for FO
- The number of pilots retiring in 2005/6/7
If not, perhaps there should be a site just for that? They would have to be ballpark figures of course but surely this would help wannabees decide just how risky this business is?
Airlines might be reticent to offer sensitive information but then again, they might not if pilot shortages can be planned for or avoided?
Cheers all...
