lets say i have a FAA CPL+IR and want to convert it to a JAA CPL.... all that is needed is 15 hours of training from a JAA instructor and a checkride, correct?
How many hours for the IR? and how many hours for the ME? and how many hours for the Rotorcraft helicopter (all CPL)?
I also assume a ground class in JAA rules would be necessary, right?
thanks for any help in clarifying!

I have no clue to advance your cause, except to suggest that correct spelling in the title would not be adverse.

sorry mate ;) ... english is my second language.. But you are right! I could of used a spellchecker.
(besides, it's only a small typo :p)
From what I remember......
CPL- training as required. Normally around 5-10 hours. CPL Skills Test. Hours are set by the training school you use.
IR- 15 hours. Skills Test.
If, what you want at the end of it all is your JAR ATPL then passes in all 14 written exams.

Do a search on these forums. There are many, many threads about the process.

14 ground exams.
IR ME 15 hours including up to 10 sim + flight test
IR SE to IR ME 20 hours up to 13 sim + flight test
CPL training as required + flight test
MEP training as required + flight test + exam
I am afraid I don't know about Rotorcraft helicopter.
