Just wondering what your endorsement from QF is for the 737. Do they give you a CoPilot or Command Endoresment (not talking about CIR), and is this on your CASA issued license?

cheers

Command endorsement I think - in the RH seat. However, the term "Command" means nothing really in practice. But not sure if the type rating includes handling practice at abort take offs from left seat which used to be a requirement for a "Command" rating.

Does anyone know the history as to why there is such a thing as Co pilot ratings and endorsements? What do second officers get?

Qantas 737 pilot absolutely do get a command endorsement as well as a command instrument rating.

Under the CAOs there is no requirement to demonstrate a rejected take-off as the flying pilot, there is a requirement to do a continued take-off after a failure of the critical engine though.

F/Os do demonstrate handling a rejected take-off in the form of a captain incapacitation and a subsequent rejected take-off.

here is the relevant regs...
