Following months of rumours, an Atlas 747 made a BA proving flight into Manston on 15th Feb: apparently all went well.

Any info on how things are progressing?

I understand EMA might stand a good chance aswell....

However, I dont think the whole of the BA contract will move out of Stansted. Rumour at the moment is that GSS are after two classics and those are the ones which will be based elsewhere.

Dont believe anything till you see it on the ramp though!

i think you will find the atlas 747 landing at manston was nothing to do with proving as usual rumour control wrong again
parking was congested at stansted nothing more that

Guys,
I think you will find that that Atlas machine was at Manston for parking, as it was when Chinese New Year was on and the many carriers suspended freighter flights to China, so there was little use for the aircraft during that period.

MKDC8,

It didn't stay long.

Just wondering if anyone knew which Atlas went into Manston.

I had heard that one one due to be parked at manston over the period of chinese new year, but was also told, that plan had been shelved, never did find out which story true though !!
