View Full Version : Links on the Favorites menu - IE

Bl**dy Windows XP keeps on adding 'Links' as a folder to my IE Favorites (sic) menu. I delete it, but it returns within a couple of days. Can anyone help me stop it happening?

Not a big issue, I know, but I hate it when Windows thinks it knows better than me!

Thanks, Ll

I'm not sure that you can remove it (although hopefully someone will prove me wrong!).

If you look at "View / Toolbars" you will see that there is a toolbar called "Links".

If you enable this toolbar, it contains whatever links are in your "Favorites / Links" folder.

I customise my "Standard Buttons" toolbar to only the buttons that I actually use then place the "Links" toolbar to the right of it. I've got 8 frequently used sites there; BBC News, PPRuNe, NOTAMs etc...

If you can't get rid of it, get it doing something useful for you!!!
