Anyone in the know!!

When are CASA introducing the new ATPL(A) flight test requirements?

Is there anywhere where I can actually find this out on the web - CASA website?

All I hear at the moment are rumours but no actual info as to when this will begin to take effect.

Thanks for the help.

ozblackbox,

from the seminars last year my understanding is it has been delayed at this stage to 2007.

Confirms with http://www.casa.gov.au/avreg/transition/parts/61.asp

:hmm:

Good. That'll be about how long I need to pass Systems, let alone Flight Planning, I reckon.

The requirement for the ATPL flight test comes in with the CASRs in November 2005.

CockpitJunkie,

Just to clarify what you have said, CASRs have been around since 1998, part 61 of the CASRs are due to be made later this year, however they are not planned to take effect till 2007.
