Event of second half 2004. Inside USA or Portugal, i can't remember. Technicians had forgotten to secure engine cowling panels . Picture published in Flight International magazine.:rolleyes:

I would'nt call it a "funpic"!. It's put the fear of god up me, every time I close a set of cowlings now I check them about twenty times!

Well, after all the comments I think next time I go paxing and should we lose a cowling I'll just point and laugh, making the occasional comment about air cooling.

This means I must amend my rule of "if the airplane is in one piece everything is ok"

It is now: "If all the major pieces of the airplane are intact everything is ok"

Who's afraid of flying after reading this site?

Forgive me, but....

Is this another one of those airbus inflight problems that keep occuring every so often, and there is no procedure displayed on ECAM, so the pilots don't quite know what to do!

As one may be able to detect, I'm a Boeing person!!!

Cheers, FD :=

I stand corrected. It is indeed a Airtran flight operated by Ryan International Airlines Airbus A320-233, N951LF.

Got a bit confused by the Airbus pylon and nacelle... But hey, It happens.
