Sadly reduced to picking up the crumbs. :{

Lyrics 20 Song was One Tin Soldier from Billy Jack. Maureen McGovern??

Lyrics 25. Misty Blue, Dorothy Moore (was that a hit anywhere but Oz?)

Re the Woodstock cancellations. I'm taking a stab at Joni Mitchell because I know she was booked to play there and didn't, but I can't remember why. Think it had to do with transport logistics or something like that.

By the way, Duckbutt, as a fellow ageing hippy, I recommend you get hold of a book called (I think) The Summer of our Lives, by Jack Curry, which was a book about the putting together of Woodstock and the memories of some people who were there, including some artists. I never wanted it to end, but haven\'t been able to track it down anywhere for a while. Great stuff.

Also in this thread (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81805&highlight=woodstock) you\'ll see a reference to a DVD that\'s well worth watching on the same subject.

A few hints:

L8...No Belmonts involved with this one.
L11..Did someone mention Slowhand awhile back?

T3...Last Beach Boys hit?
T6...A nice Merlot, perhaps?

Binos, I can't find why Joni Mitchell wasn't at Woodstock either. I believe she was scheduled, and she actually wrote a song about it. L20 was a true one hit wonder. They had a #1 hit with One Tin Soldier and then dropped out of sight forever.

Piggy, At some stage over the next couple of days I shall revisit my prized DVD on JM and PM you the reason she didn't make it to Woodstock.

Hazatude, a warm welcome to the world of the Music Quiz. You will notice that the number of views is fairly low, mainly because it is populated by a close-knit community who have decided that they will do the best they can without use of any, err, outside influences.

I hope I speak on behalf of those who do the real hard work here, Pigboat and Scran in welcoming you to the club and suggesting that rather like golf, the quiz is a competition against yourself.

Hazatude,

Well, as Bino's points out.....we can't really tell if you Google or not.....(although I sometimes use really obsure songs that I have Googled to see if I can catch anyone out).....so the "honour" system prevails.

By all means listen to the songs...thats how I come up with a lot of my Quiz's..................

Piggy - I have the "ball" for the next two Quiz's, so thats:

504 on Sun 6th/Mon 7th (while we watch the Super Bowl - C'mon Chiefs...:confused: what? they didn't make it? C'mon Patriots...:ok: )
