Can anyone who has had a Skippers interview provide any feedback as to the type of questions asked.

Have also heard they have a mini tech quiz of some sorts, can anyone shed some light on this and any other info that may be relevent to getting in.

Thanks.

Starts with a tech quiz (around 10 questions? usual IFR stuff) including

Cat b speeds
Take off minima
Circling requirements
Holding speeds
Visual approach
Descent below LSALT

Sorry can't remember the rest

Then interview with 3 people (C&T, Fleet Manager and Recruitment manager)

General lifestyle questions and character probing

Tell us a bit about yourself
Duties at present job
How did you obtain your present job
How would you evaluate you present employer
How much notice do you need to give present employer
What do you know about skippers
What aircraft do they have and how many
How do you prepare for renewals/check flights/charters
What challenges do Skippers face in the future
How are these challenges to be overcome
What hobbies do you have
Will these affect your ability to work on weekends
Why do you want to work for Skippers/why should they hire you
If aircraft overloaded by X amount what would you do?
What would you do if captain was intoxicated
Would you report him
Do you know anyone at Skippers
What are your career goals
Do you have applications/had interviews with any other airlines
If you were on the hold file for qantas and skippers offered you a position what would you do
What makes a good Captain/Skippers pilot
Where do you see yourself in 5/10 years time
What do you do in your spare time
How would you describe/measure success
Have you ever done anything unsafe/broken any rules
Why did you choose this career
What qualities should a captain have
What are your strengths/weaknesses
What other skills do you have that could be of use to Skippers
What does customer service mean to you
Tell us a time where you really pushed or challenged yourself
Have you ever done something unsafe
Do you own your own set of jepps

Told conditions at end ie Was at that time $5,500 for endorsement (metro) bonded a year and employed as casual 52 ish an hour.

Then comes the Sim ride (at Ad Astral)

General Flying (ie turn this heading, fly at this speed and maintain this rate of climb etc etc). From memory Mount Magnet NDB and an ILS at Perth

Good luck :ok:
