Can someone advise on the internet speeds/bitrates needed for a basic webcam video conversation UK-Oz?
Reading the various webcam posts it seems that this is possible at dial-up speeds but presumably it is vastly better at broadband speeds. But now there are various broadband speeds on offer, so does it make a big difference?
..and is the webcam software clever enough to negotiate a mutually acceptable speed between a UK puter on say NTL 600KB/s and an Oz puter on a Telstra service at xxxKb/s?
