Hello,

Would applying, being accepted and eventually flying for Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited or AHK Air Hong Kong Limited hurt your chances of getting into Cathay Pacific at some point?

One big happy family? A merger isn't on the cards, I don't think Beijing would wear that. And I don't think it will be a controlling stake either, just a bigger slice of the stock to make the CX and Swire members of the KA board try and help rahter than spoil. More agreement and less infighting would benfit both parties. There's plenty of competition coming from the mainland airlines and the US freight companies for CX and KA to be wasting their energy fighting with each other.

Moving from KA to CX or the other way round is not possible at the moment due to the aforementioned no poaching agreement. Well, not without resigning first and starting from scratch. But if you join one, why would you want to swap later?

Don't know about AHK, but I suspect it's a similar story.
