Brilliant drama, compelling and believable. tony draper 15th Jan 2005, 22:53 Don't understand why he didn't just pick up the phone and order pizza, he could of ate the delivery bloke as well. ssultana 15th Jan 2005, 23:11 Lol. Didn't he only have £10 in that jacket pocket? The best that would get you is Dominoes Full house 9.5 inch at £9.15 (they don't deliver under £8.95. He could have called a smaller pizza place and done two-for-one, but they would have levied a delivery charge so not really. Fair play though, he could have eaten the delivery bloke, and the cable guy. I know that one person (average male) feeds 70 people at banquet size portions, but he could have stretched it being on rations. Lets say 3rd size rations, thats 420 meals and the pizza, so about 140 days food, ( boil the bones for marrow as broth snacks). He'd need a lot of water though beacuse the blood would be salty, and the meat tough. I guess he should set up a solar still, or rain catcher..because he was cut off from mains. There is always the inherant risk of CJD if you eat brain so he should leave that alone for a start. Best off eating the liver. Packed with energy. It's not hard to establish a colony of rats in your house, which will provide plenty of food for one man. Twinned with killing garden birds. I reckon i could have survived ages... SyllogismCheck 15th Jan 2005, 23:15 I'm afraid of ssultana. :uhoh: ssultana 15th Jan 2005, 23:35 Cannibalism is interesting, early christians were accused of it beacuse they claimed to be eating the body and blood of JC. I don't want to try cannibalism, and i'm not the next internet Brandon Miewes, or Ted Bundy. It's history as both a religious and vengeful act are well documented but it's the survival stories that are most interesting.. i'm not talking about the film alive. That was a mickey mouse attempt at cannibalism. Read The Wreck of The Whale Ship Essex by Owen Chase (first mate aboard). It's a diary of the real moby dick events. In the words of Brothers Johnson.. You don't know what you'll do until your put under pressure....' The story makes Joe Simpson from Touching the Void look like a nancy boy. DubTrub 15th Jan 2005, 23:39 I've got no idea what's going on, but I'm afraid of ssultana makes me worried about Draper, since he also appears to have seen it.:uhoh: |
