Can anyone tell me what just flew over my house on approach to Plaisance? time is 1350 on 12th jan........it was a large high wing jet with 4 engines, each pair positionned close to the fuselage...something to do with the SIDS conference??

I would think it was a Government Minister transport version of this: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/380957/M/

The only others that fit that description are super-large military transports, and if there is a conference, I very much doubt there is apron space for them!

Sounds more like an IL-76 or even a C-141. Who was attending the Conference?

best guess is that its an IL-76 from johannesburg bound for the far east on an air flight.there have been a number of flights out recently.

Kofi Annan has been attending, as well as the representatives of all member nations......Mr Annan flew in courtesy of the Singaporean Air Force last Monday...Conference ended on friday, possibly his transport out? It seemed to me to be an Il-76 come to think of it....
