Guys,

Is the Virgin Blue interview procedure still a face to face interview, if OK go and get the 737 rating, then come back for the company proficiency check in the sim????

Thanks,

Yes, nothing has changed. Best of luck if you have an interview.

Still A Panel Interview with either 2 or 3 managment pilots.
(this is starting to get a little more tech question orientated also)
Then a medical and job offer subject to a Sim Ride pass once endorsement gained.

Sim check is over 2 days, includes 2 x 4 hour sessions which you will do with a captain on a normal cyclic. But beware and make sure you study. The sim check while not unreasonable does expect you to fly to a standard and a lack of preperation and pre-study will show up. Has been around 4 people in the last few months to not get through.
There is talk that a new initial interview before the panel is about to be brought in also for the next round of hiring in March (ish).

I heard through the rumour mill (we all know how accurate that is!) that hiring was slowing down to almost a stop, any truth in this?
What are the min. quals. that pilots have been hired with lately?
