On departure from Dubai last night was told to line up behind Cathay 067.
I was suprised to see it was an Air Atlanta 747 Classic and not the normal CX Classic.
Is there a lack of CX airframes to do the existing Cargo work, or do they normally wet lease when aircarft are down for maint.??
Just wondering??

I think (not 100%) that the 067 is a code share with LH and on certain days they operate it and on others CX does.

...and if Tony The Liar is to be believed, when there's an impending typhoon, our skilled colleagues from The Motherland are called in to handle the situation. Yeah, right.

I just couldn't resist. Shortly? Spanners? Anyone?

Air Atlanta has a wetlease for one Classic freighter in Hong Kong for Cathay Pacific. I think there may even be a couple of 49ers flying it soon...
