Can anyone enlighten me why Outlook Express messages sometime (not always) turn up in the following format: all arrows and gaps.....

(example)

>>> HANDLE IT.
>>>
>>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> Confidentiality and Disclaimer: This email and its attachments are
>> intended for the addressee
>>
>> only and may be confidential or the subject of legal privilege.
>>
>> If this email and its attachments have come to you in error you must
>> take no action based on
>>
>> them, nor must you copy them, distribute them or show them to anyone.
>> Please contact the sender to notify them of the error.
>>
>> This email and any attached files have been scanned for the presence of

Probably an indication that text from a previous e-mail has been included. For instance, one of the settings for OE allows you to append the message to which you are replying or that you are forwarding. I seem to recall that you can set the place where your reply is added to either the top or the foot of the previous message. That would allow for the non-chevron text (i.e. text added by the person sending it to you) to be either at the top or the bottom of the mexssage.

Clear as mud eh?

Hope that helps
