I have to be cautious here, but in essence, I am seeking advice please as to the best way to register a complaint with regard to the treatment of my father ( who is 85 ) with a view to obtaining the maximum effect short of litigation although this option remains under serious consideration.
In short, can anybody suggest the best course of action--contacting the Hospital involved would be a futile gesture--in order to prevent this happening again. This is NOT a case of "having a go at the NHS" for the sake of it. The best analogy would be an accident i.e a series of events which, in themselves, cause no problem, but when linked together result in an accident. In this case, a botched minor operation / no after care plus the most disgusting level of care when on the Ward.
I rarely get angry to the extent of wishing to complain with a vehemence, but, in this case, enough is enough. I am sure there are "official channels" etc, but what I would really like is the best way to deliver the equivalent of a surgical strike ( no pun intended) on those responsible or rather those who have not been responsible. All advice is welcome, be it on this Forum or via a PM.
Many Thanks,
K n C
