Seemed to be a great bunch of people there when I went thru there a few years ago. Station manager and his wife very hospitable. We enjoyed far too many reds and a wonderful meal on the verandah.

There are plenty of worse places to work, that's for sure.

I have seen this job advertised at least 3 times in the past year.
And I don't even look that hard.
I believe it is due to pilots moving to greener pastures, also the lack of flying in the baron.
Be sure to find out how much flying you'll be doing before you drop your life to keep the dream alive.

I understand that they've had a big turnover in pilots recently, but more of an unfortunate co-incidence than one reason in particular.

I would guess that the 'stationhand' bit of the pilot/stationhand job description would not be all that attractive if you went there just for the flying.

Also heard that the guy you fly the Baron for is great, but the station manager is a ********.....

Bloody hell, you pilots these days just want it all don't you.
