Windows Task Bar Problem

Windows XP. On Internet pages the task bar (?) that appears just above the one at the bottom with "Start" button on it has dissappeared. ie the one with the horizontal window that "fills up" as the page is downloaded.

I've tried system restore to no avail so it is obviously finger trouble on my part. Any ideas how to get this back?

If is IE you are using, try ´View´/´Toolbars´/´Status Bar'

Thanks BOAC - fixed it. Don't know how I managed to loose it!
