View Full Version : Civvy ac crash at LOO

RADAR Advisory

Does anyone have any info on a light aircraft crash yesterday at Linton? I gather that it crashed into the undershoot of Rwy10. I am assuming they had an emergency at the time, as Rwy10 isn't used for landing aircraft normally.
Hope the crew recover quickly

Saw photo of this - horrific crash site - how anyone survived this was amazing. It was these guys' lucky day, got to be seen to be believed.
Whole drama handled by the rescue services at LOO, doc, medics and firemen, sounds like they were magnificent.
Well done to all, proud of you.

My father in law saw it - stuck throttle, reasonable altitude across threshold but then failed to shut down the engine so it just bored on into the trees during the attempted go-around.
