Back in about 1975/76 there was an Italian operator called Aeropa (Formerly called SAV). They operated 2 707s, I-SAVA a -131 and N716HH a -321. Also N778PA a -139B was painted up in their colours but they ceased ops before delivery could take palace I think.

I have a few queries people might be able to help me out with:

1. Why was N716HH never placed on the Italian register?
2. Was was the significance (if any) of the HH in the reg?
3. Was any other 707 painted up for them? I have a feeling an ex THY 707-121B was painted too but not del.
4. Were they interested in acquiring ex Lloyd International Britannia 312Fs.... or did I just dream this?
5. Some of their execs went on to form an airline called Antares. What ever became of this operation?

No pix of N716HH at STN please, I've seen 'em all!

Thanks
