I have never seen this before. On Airliners there is a A340 313x
justat the point of touch down nose still in the air. The pilot has activated reverst thrust 2 and 3. 1 and 4 still not activated why would the pilot choose this and is it possible to do this on any other aircraft?

Regards Matt

I should jolly well hope the nosegear is still in the air just at the point of touchdown!

I'm not aware of any reason that they wouldn't deploy all four - if they could do so safely. The only possibility I can think of is that there is a problem on the particularly aircraft with one of the outboard engines or reversers; in this case, to avoid the danger of assymetric reverse thrust, they would probably want to use the inboards (2 & 3) only?

I fly the 747-400 we fairly frequently have 1 reverser locked out (if theres the slightest problem its safer to lock out) but we still pull the levers on all 4. If the airbus has more of an assymetric handling problem then using matching pairs would make sense. So 1 or 4 locked out, dont select the opposite.
