Mike Burlyn has had more validations, and worked for more employers than any living UK ATCO (unless anyone knows different!) Last heard of at EGGW. Big cheese in GATCO. His "yellow peril" must be as thick as a telephone directory. Hey, Mike are you out there?

I think its about time the work of the ATCO was given a bit of the ol' Hollywood glamour.The pilots have had it their way long enough.My only worry is that the film portrayed them all as egotistical ******s whose confidence far exceeded their abilities.Thankfully,however,it was made clear on numerous occasions that the flight crew contribution to air safety is negligible.And the ATCOs got to wear the sunglasses.And a feather.
