This has us all stumped in the office, not the Piper in the foreground, but the ex-military type partially obscured behind the fin. Anybody know?

Of which there is a blue one at Bruntingthorpe nearing the end of its restoration, and its looks gorgeous.

See, Genghis, if you came to visit North Weald more often, you would have seen one parked up there and wouldn't have had to ask. :p

You've almost got me stranded once there (still, could be worse - could have been stranded at Wycombe), and have me coming back to give a talk - what more do you want, a club membership fee? :O
Anyhow, my colleagues are very impressed that I could tell them what the mystery aeroplane was within 7 minutes - I told them it would probably take until tomorrow morning !

There are still a fair old few of them flying here in Texas. I even saw one with the full plexiglass nose :ok:
I've jumped them several times too: I wish I'd gone up front instead. :(
