I did the Britannia tests at Stage 1 before deciding to join the RAF instead.
The aptitude involved a multi-choice exam featuring some basic engineering principles i.e hydraulics, cogs/gears etc and some mental arithmetic. They were based on US Navy (If I remember correctly) tests which looked like they came from the 50s.
Have you got a selection date then?
