FAA ATPL_ New Procedures ?!?!

We all know this subject has been bashed around for decades......

Can anyone shed some light on the LATEST scenario please,,,,

Do we have to apply to the US embassy to get a clearance ?!?! 45 days prior !! to get to the US to do the training...presume it's in a duchess similar run our IR plus computer theory

Anyone who's done it recently,,,, what's the fork out Aus dollar and time frame...or is it easire to go to a local in our land.

Yeppa...point taken that VB and Q don't appreciate it doing the cheating way !!. When the time frame becomes critical and can't leave the job for a whole month to sit in the school this becomes an option.

Smoothie.............it is my understanding that the 45 day notice thingy applies only for training on aircraft with MTOW > 12,500lb. Not many Duchesses fall into that category..............Ask the school you are planning on doing it with.
