Does anybody know at what age does a CX Sim Instructor have to retire? Is it the mandatory 55? Thanks.

Every time I look over my shoulder, sim instructor JC pops up again! He's had more CX retirements than most folks have had hot dinners and he must be 65 plus!

No official retirement age.
As long as the classic freighters are around we need some instructors with steam experience.
The number of guys/gals today that have no idea in an analog environment is becoming increasingly apparent and frankly quite frightening .

Official retirement age 55. Extension automatic if fleet needs are there up to 60. Part time work available - and some full time over 60 to meet demand. I don't believe the last two statements are in concrete anywhere but JC et al are the living proof. SI's have been first employed at ages over 55.

Shortly is of course correct. The statutory retirement age is 55 which is the age some take up the job in preference to Air Atlanta, Korean, Orient Thai , Phuket Air or the golf course.
