Hello,

Does anyone know in Brisbane which schools uses the Cirrus either the SR20 or SR22 for training? I know Sunland does anymore?

Also:

I got a couple of hours training here in the Uk and im planning to go out there to Brisbane for a month during either Jan or March ( undecided still ) realistic would I be able to do a PPL in 1 month? Considering that I start studying theory from now until then.

Many Thanks

As far as I am aware:

Cirrus aircraft are available for training at:

Melbourne: Tooradin Flying School - new SR20.

Sydney: Whitworth Aviation - new SR22.

Canberra: Brindabella - older SR20.

Brisbane: Sunland Aviation - new SR20 & older SR22.

Anyone else know of available Cirrus in Australia?.

Airway:

PPL in 1 month?. Tough ask.

Have your theory down pat. Pre-book ALL flying, paperwork and testing officers down to the minute. You might have a reasonable chance.

Rich-Fine-Green,

Thanks for your post, im currently in touch with sunland aviation regarding the cirrus, 1 month would be pushing too much so i have decided to continue the PPL here in the Uk, and when i arrive in Brisbane later ill do the rating on the SR20 and convert the licence, it's much easier this way.

Whats the cost of hiring an SR22 from any of the above?
Any SR 22 G2s(2nd generation-the one with the sticky doors)in oz yet?

Judging by the s/n of the one at Whitworth, it's a G2 version.

Not sure of any prices at all.

I understand Torradin F.S. & Sunland have the new glass-cockpit version SR20s.

I heard the SR22 at Bill Whitworths was something in the area of $387 per hour. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-040.gif
