Hello,

I'm in a pickle. I've just over 200 hours on an FAA PPL. I never sat my biannual flight check, nor did I fly my required amount of hours this year (didn't have any money).

I want to convert my FAA PPL to a JAA PPL. I was originally told that all I'd need to do was take the air law and Radiotelephony exams and a GFT then my wish would be granted.

However, because I never took my biannual FAA flight review, would I need to take all the written exams to convert?

Thanks in advance.

PS. There is a depressing amount of wannabes aren't there? I'm doing it cos chicks dig the uniform. (that's a joke, don't get offended).

There are no minimum flight hrs per year for the FAA certificate.

All you need to do is a flight review with an FAA instructor as per FAR 61.56

You will then be back in currency and you will be able to do as you wish with the conversion.

Good Luck
