A Day in the Life....?

I'm at that that crossroad that determines the rest of my life (the one without any signposts!) and am seriously considering a career as a commercial pilot...

What i'd like to know is the bare balls of it - on a daily basis just how rewarding, challenging and demanding is life as an airline pilot, from an F/O up the ladder to Captain?
