It seems about time for a Northern Museum bash and Ninja Bill has suggested Elvington on 28th August. It's a Saturday. See his thread in here (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=137035)
and some Museum details on this site (http://www.yorkshireairmuseum.co.uk/)
Anyone interested?

Timmcat, bring the boss and the Timkittens with you, I'm sure they would have a good time. :ok:
Tempsford, why would I need to bring my caravan when Elvington is only about two hours drive from here? :hmm: Besides which, subject to certain circumstances, a very nice PPRuNer has offered to fly me in :E and that is an opportunity I don't intend to miss :ok:

So far it looks as if there will be a nice little group of about 15 if everyone turns up :ok: Anyone else care to join us?

Arrrrrrgh! I'll be in London by then... having flown down from Newcastle the day before. Very bad planning for this one, DX, as I can't turn around and go all the way back up to York. :oh: And, as there's a wee get together in London on the evening of the 27th, can't change my travel plans at this late stage. :{

See you in Cardiff anyway! :ok:

Sorry about the date OzExpat I'll try to sort out something for next year. For anyone else thinking of joining us - you will be most welcome and, as I have said in the Private Flying thread, Tempsford and Son are both coming. Temps has a wealth of knowledge about the aircraft at Duxford and even if he has only half of that when it comes to Elvington, we will be in for a real treat :ok:
